New CC&R Amendment – Rental Restrictions

The Board recently approved mandatory proposed changes to the CC&Rs. On https://resident.actionlife.com/Document/Index/11516060 are the CC&Rs along with the newly recorded mandatory amendment.
Assembly Bill 3182 was recently signed into law codifying new Civil Code Section 4741 prohibiting the Association’s governing documents from requiring a minimum rental period of more than thirty (30) days; and mandating that the Board of Directors adopt and record a conforming amendment to bring the CC&R rental restrictions into compliance with this new law if the current minimum rental period exceeds thirty (30) days.
Pursuant to Civil Code Section 4741, the Board provided general notice of the proposed amendment to the members for a 28-day comment period before the amendment was adopted and recorded to meet the July 2022 deadline.
