ACV Water Shut-Off: July 11 & July 12
Posted By msuarez on July 6, 2017
The water will be shut-off on to replace special water Automatic Control Valves (ACV). We ask that residents not attempt to use any water (opening valves in the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry) during their scheduled shut-off as it risks putting air in the pipes and causing pressure issues throughout the building. The water will be shut-off according to the following schedule:
Tuesday, July 11 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm on floors G – 16
Wednesday, July 12 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm on floors 17 – 24
Why are we replacing Automatic Control Valves (ACVs)
Automatic Control Valves (ACVs) regulates the flow of pressure of a fluid. These valves normally respond to signals generated by independent devices such as flow meters or temperature gauges. When you use your sink, shower, and appliances you are signaling to the system that you need hot and or cold water. The ACV’s go to work to fulfill your request. As Aria approaches 10 years, components such as the ACVs age and need regular annual maintenance.
