Rules & Regulations – Facemask Requirement Rule Addition Approved
Posted By mcooper on December 30, 2021
The Board of Directors met on December 20, 2021 and discussed the recent local and Statewide guidance on mask wearing in indoor spaces. As Aria’s building allows access to vendors, guests, and also contains your multiple individual homes, the nature of the building’s common areas are more public than private. In accordance with this information, the Board has passed an Emergency Rule addition which requires all residents and non-residents (regardless of vaccination status) to wear face coverings when in the building. The rule will be in effect as of Tuesday, December 21, 2021 until the County of San Diego face covering guidance issued is removed (potentially as soon as January 15, 2022).
RULE IN EFFECT AS OF TUESDAY, DECEMBER 21, 2021:
Facemask Requirement: All residents or persons on or within the Association’s common areas must wear a facemask at all times. The facemask must comply with the Center for Disease Control’s guidance on facemasks. Subject to greater requirements imposed by the CDC, the facemask must, at minimum, (i) cover the individual’s face and mouth; and (ii) fit snugly against the sides of the individual’s face such that the nose and mouth are not exposed. Violations of this rule are subject to the Association’s procedures in the Project Handbook.
The Fitness Center sign ups will also be reduced to one household at a time as part of these precautions.
To our understanding the overwhelming majority of transmission is via droplet thus the 6-foot distance is likely the most effective measure. Living in a high-rise building compounds the risk as we are often forced to be in close proximity, thus requiring all to wear a face covering.
Please review the attached signage. Should you have any questions regarding the rule addition, please contact Management by email at mcooper@actionlife.com or by phone at (619) 231-4235.
